Innovative Interdisciplinarity – Internationally Unique
„Innovation and Consumer Protection“ is one of the focus areas at the University of Bayreuth. This focus area is based on the linking of research conducted at the University of Bayreuth in the field of innovation and on consumer protection and consumer behaviour. This linking is unique in the German as well as the international research community.
It draws upon the strong research infrastructure in Bayreuth, which encompasses the research agencies and institutes as well as additional institutions such as the Economic Research Center Centre for Midsize Companies (BF/M) or Fraunhofer FIT’s Project Group Business & Information Systems Engineering.
The focus area also offers a unique environment for fostering outstanding junior researchers with a Bayreuth-specific character, where interdisciplinary open-mindedness is a basic principle.
