Electronic structure and dynamics of condensed phase and molecular materials:
Specific themes include developing and applying density functional theory and many-body perturbation theory (GW and beyond) to challenging inorganic, organic-inorganic and biological light-converting systems, such as (hybrid) halide perovskites and the natural light-harvesting systems of photosynthetic bacteria.
Furthermore, I am interested in material properties of nanoscale materials: from nanoalloys for catalysis to transition metal doped silicon clusters.
